I always felt Sunday was a reading day. My parents liked having the newspaper and would pick it up, especially on Sunday. That meant comics. That meant reading PARADA magazine and the Art section and reading politics and the NEIGHBORS section. It would be a house just reading and talking, and El Cafe and Pan would be going, and we would read. I think that is the essence of Sundays sometimes: to have a day to be quiet, reflect, and chill.
I hope to do that here.
So here are some thoughts and links from my Patreon site, as well as some other stuff for you guys to try. Sure, there is a video because we are in the modern future, but still, try it. I will try to be here every Sunday. Let me know if it works.
As the year ends, I've been reflecting on my work, and I accomplished a lot. Although I didn't reach the desired levels, I still made significant progress. Looking back at the projects from January feels strange because they seem like they were from years ago, but they were just from this year. I'm also deeply involved in newer work, making staying motivated challenging as the world gradually gets colder. We’ve experienced some frost here in Texas, and I long for Miami, where the heat and comepinguiria are constant.
On Patreon, I put some sneak peeks and a carousel of work for the upcoming NEENJAZ, which should conclude this year, and H00D, a sort of larger post-apocalyptic world I have in mind. Meanwhile:

DAYLIGHTS SAVINGS Happened. WTF. What is this shit? You know what? Here is a better way to explain that Lewis Black:
I've been writing a novel. ( https://fwacata.substack.com/p/209-took-a-walk )Yeah, I know, wtf Juan you barely have time to pee, you’re writing a novel? Geez
Well, I FUCKING AM. Here is one way of doing it, which I’m taking very liberal steps with: Michael Moorcock's rules for writers
https://www.theguardian.com/books/2010/feb/22/michael-moorcock-rules-for-writers?utm_source=orbitaloperations.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=newsletter&utm_campaign=emergency-power
It’s a path that I have taken up, not really rules, but so far, I’m 37000 words on the novel, so here’s to that. If you want to follow that, hit me up on Substack
Incredible interview I’m reading on MATT LESNIEWSKI an incredible comic artist and creator I’ve found amazing. The title says it all:
“I Was Done With Not Being Noticed”: The Matt Lesniewski Interview
Still reading it, but so far, it’s insightful, to say the least, since, well, I feel the same fucking way.

WEBCOMICS GAH, DAMN IT
I want an actual website. It’s incredible how now a day, with so much being offered by so many different websites, I can’t find a single way to host comics, LIKE A FUCKING WEBCOMIC WEBSITE SHOULD BE ABLE TO, that allows for posting multiple comics, and yada yada yadda. It can be done but not in any regular way, and the one thing that seems to be where I bump my head is you have to CODE. FAK. Some of you who have followed me for a while will note that, yes, I did this back in the day with the ZOMBIE YEARS website, but that was programming rolling down a hill, wrapped in bard wire, and shelling out cash. It fucking sucked, and I don’t feel like going that way again. It seems you can host a single comic in an okay way, but many times, like positing in advance and giving it a release, it is hell. On top of that, since RSS feeds seem to be fucking dead (or not https://modulards.com/en/still-being-the-rss-relevant-in-2024-an-glimpse-at-its-possibilities/ ), it’s hard to do so without just going the e-mail route. UGH.
I still will hammer away, and I found some possibilities, but we’ll see how that goes. Read here for some insight to try to do it with WIX https://www.objectifiedcomic.com/post/how-to-host-webcomics-with-wix
DIGITAL COMICS, FOR NOW
I uploaded ten issues of ART TO THE FACE (ATTF) and issue 1 of FWACATA onto GLOBAL COMIX for people to peruse and even purchase or read with a subscription. They seem to be taking the slack up left behind by Comixology closing down (even though they didn’t?) Whatever, I figure it’s a new Platform there. So please do me a favor, head over, follow, read, or subscribe. THERE IS SHIT TON OF COMICS ON THERE I WILL SAY. I have found some true gems there so far, so I may share them later.

That’s all I have for you now. I’m sorry I have been away. I mean to remedy that. I’m also working on a new Podcast episode. I’m thinking an hour every month, so it doesn’t suck for you or for me. Hmm.
Remember to be good to yourself, maintain yourself, and do something good for yourself first. We need you; there is only you, so take care of yourself.
Until next time, BE GOOD.
PS:
Oh, and here is another way I’m shilling my soul online: Get stickers and make stickers. I hope to do more on STICKERMULE and even have more stickers to offer for people at the $10 level to get and use for cons. I know there are other stick companies, but I’ve used Stickermule for YEARS and never ever had a problem. I have stickers that have lasted forever from them. Try it! https://www.stickermule.com/unlock?ref_id=0815960701&utm_medium=link&utm_source=invite
